报告题目:Vibration Assisted Micro Machining Technology in Advanced Manufacturing
报告摘要:
Vibration assisted machining is a technique to apply high frequency vibration between tool and workpiece in addition to original cutting motion. In this study, the effect of two dimensional vibration assistance on the cutting performance of glass and metallic materials is investigated. Specifically, this presentation includes three sections: (1) The vibration assisted micro-milling of BK-7 optical glass is investigated. (2) Two dimensional vibration assistance on the attenuation of high frequency regenerative chatter in the micro milling of aluminum is studied. (3) An efficient algorithm based on 2D finite element method is proposed to characterize the coupled axial-torsional dynamics of micro drill due to the warping effect.
